“All Around Us” Officially Released!

Posted May 18th, 2009 by Bloompocket
All Around Us is available May 18 Wow folks, after many long months of composing, producing, and composing, my new track “All Around Us” is officially available for sale as of May 18 at the following online retailers!

As I’ve mentioned before, this music really took a lot of blood and sweat to put together, but thankfully no tears. More than any music I’ve ever produced before, the music on this EP just seemed to flow out of me with very little strain, just a lot of “footwork” in getting everything together. In a nutshell, this process was a prototype for how I’d like music making to happen for me as I move forward. Releasing this track and all of the mixes has been a process of over a year in the making, so I really do hope that everyone of you enjoys it. Either way, I’d love to get as much feedback on this as possible, so please keep those emails and comments coming my way!

Human: “What’s up with all of this poverty crap, Big G, I need me a job!”

The Jim Carrey-like God: “JOB-SCHMOB! By the infinite power contained in my breast, I hereby bestow upon you the title of multi-billionaire and sole proprietor of the nation’s largest and most influential fried pie making corporation! Now go make me some more of those raspberry and lemon ones - which reminds me…I’ve already mowed through the ones you made me last week and need to do some sit-ups STAT!”

Why not? (really, why not?)

In case you think your life sucks…

Posted January 8th, 2009 by Bloompocket
…make it your life’s new mission to spend as much time as possible living in the present moment.

In case you find that difficult (which you almost certainly will), then you can expand your viewpoint of “My life sucks” to “My life sucks…and I can’t live in the present moment.”

From that point, if you persevere in your mission to spend as much time as possible living in the present moment(which I suggest you do!), your new viewpoint will be “My life sucks BECAUSE I can’t live in the present moment.

And with that realization begins the end of your life sucking, now and forever. In fact, if you continue persevering in this mission, no matter what, you will find yourself tumbling headlong…into unfathomable serenity and success.

(I’m reminding myself here as much as anyone else!) :)

For those of you who have noticed me rattling on since this past April about a tune I’m working on by the name of “All Around Us,” you may be asking yourself, “what type of a whack-job spends 7 months on the same song and is STILL working on it?! Who does this guy think he is - Brian Wilson?!? Read more »

To be more precise, it’s actually a song I wrote with my Monkey Bars partner in crime, Gabriel D Vine as well as Alex Lang, and was the reason we were offered a deal with Subliminal Records in 2001. Read more »

My Discography Added to Website

Posted November 2nd, 2008 by Bloompocket
I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve done some research and put together a discography of all the recordings I’ve appeared on either as a producer or as a sideman. Noticeably missing from the list at the time of this posting are any recordings made under the name “Bloompocket,” but of course, that will be changing soon (you’ll be the first to know!).
