I’m normally not a forwarder of emails/videos/office humor, but I found this short clip to be actually inspiring.
I like to celebrate the fact that life moves me to precisely where I need to go, and if everything went exactly the way I wanted it on MY timetable (ie: immediately), I’d be missing out on so much of the goodness that life has to offer. So 2 weekends back I had a very inspiring experience that I wanted to share with everyone. As some of you may or may not know, I was a high school jazz band geek, spending every weeknight practicing sax, often spending my weekend nights doing the same, or better yet, jamming with fellow high school jazz band geeks (such as Gabriel D Vine, with whom I formed Monkey Bars). Besides being in the band, I competed in tons of different music competitions, including one called the Music Center Spotlight Awards. It’s a pretty prestigious competition and I actually ended up winning the jazz instrumental category my senior year back in 1993. (more…)
