To be more precise, it’s actually a song I wrote with my Monkey Bars partner in crime, Gabriel D Vine as well as Alex Lang, and was the reason we were offered a deal with Subliminal Records in 2001.
This past Monday (November 17, 2008), the tune was used in the TV show “Samantha Who?” for almost 3 minutes in a scene set in the bar frequented by the show’s central characters!
As for our tune called Shuggie Love
Despite the unusual nature of the tune, Subliminal head honcho Erick Morillo (the man behind the ubiquitous I Like to Move It back in the 90’s) took such a liking to it that he not only signed the single, but also had us produce an entire album
Upon the release of Shuggie Love
The blessing of our tune was that it opened the door for us to one of house music’s biggest record labels and more importantly to the experience of producing our debut album
At any rate, it was truly exciting to hear our old tune blaring in the background through the small screen, so here it is in all its televised glory. Enjoy!

Congrats Doron! Awesome track and an even better story behind it. Looks like a good show too (meaning your song didn’t play on some stupid show like “Prison Break” or something).

Thanks Matt!! I guess my lifelong dream of having one of my tunes appear on an episode of “Mr. Belvedere” is never going to happen, but this ain’t a bad consolation prize!
