So 2 weekends back I had a very inspiring experience that I wanted to share with everyone. As some of you may or may not know, I was a high school jazz band geek, spending every weeknight practicing sax, often spending my weekend nights doing the same, or better yet, jamming with fellow high school jazz band geeks (such as Gabriel D Vine, with whom I formed Monkey Bars). Besides being in the band, I competed in tons of different music competitions, including one called the Music Center Spotlight Awards. It’s a pretty prestigious competition and I actually ended up winning the jazz instrumental category my senior year back in 1993. (more…)

For those (very few) of you who haven’t the slightest idea of who I am, if you are a fan of house music, you might remember the production duo I was a part of called Monkey Bars. We recorded an album and some singles for Subliminal Records as well as a slew of other tracks and remixes for labels such as OM, Moonshine, Aquarius, Nettwerk, Vanguard and a bunch of others, including our very own Clover Club Recordings.
