All Around Us is available May 18 Wow folks, after many long months of composing, producing, and composing, my new track “All Around Us” is officially available for sale as of May 18 at the following online retailers!

As I’ve mentioned before, this music really took a lot of blood and sweat to put together, but thankfully no tears. More than any music I’ve ever produced before, the music on this EP just seemed to flow out of me with very little strain, just a lot of “footwork” in getting everything together. In a nutshell, this process was a prototype for how I’d like music making to happen for me as I move forward. Releasing this track and all of the mixes has been a process of over a year in the making, so I really do hope that everyone of you enjoys it. Either way, I’d love to get as much feedback on this as possible, so please keep those emails and comments coming my way!

The Famous Neve 8078 Mixing Console

I know that I’ve been rattling and rattling on for some time about this new single of mine entitled “All Around Us,” but at long last, I can happily say that this puppy is “out the door in a paper bag” and ready to rock dancefloors (more…)

Moi (sax), Charlie Peterson (trumpet), Duane Benjamin (trombone)

For those of you who have noticed me rattling on since this past April about a tune I’m working on by the name of “All Around Us,” you may be asking yourself, “what type of a whack-job spends 7 months on the same song and is STILL working on it?! Who does this guy think he is - Brian Wilson?!? (more…)

To be more precise, it’s actually a song I wrote with my Monkey Bars partner in crime, Gabriel D Vine as well as Alex Lang, and was the reason we were offered a deal with Subliminal Records in 2001. (more…)

My Discography Added to Website

November 2nd, 2008
I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve done some research and put together a discography of all the recordings I’ve appeared on either as a producer or as a sideman. Noticeably missing from the list at the time of this posting are any recordings made under the name “Bloompocket,” but of course, that will be changing soon (you’ll be the first to know!). (more…)

Larry Steen (bass) and I after a kick-arse session

Howdy kiddos. So I just wanted to officially announce that as of the weekend before this past weekend, I recorded the bass for Bloompocket track #2 in progress entitled “All Around Us.” (I like to keep things “up to the minute” for my readers). (more…)

Daryl Darden and I after a hard but utterly gratifying day’s work

Daryl Darden and I after a hard but utterly gratifying day’s work

Again, a bit late in posting, but I thought I’d share that last weekend I got to record the vocals and guitar for my latest track entitled “All Around Us.” My original plan was to do it all at home on my little notebook studio, but after a shaky trial recording the weekend prior, I realized that this song is much too important to cut corners on. So yes, my second track as “Bloompocket” is well under way. Of course, if it were up to me, I’d be on my 12th track. You see, despite the power and prestige that come with uploading one track onto a MySpace Music profile, I still have this thing called the “day job” which definitely changes up the spare-time-to-noodle-in-the-studio factor. However, the upside is that because there is a limit to my time, the time spent composing and producing is incredibly inspired and focused. (more…)
