After many months and countless hours working on the premiere track for my own label,
Bloompocket Jazz, my tune entitled “
All Around Us” has been getting some wonderful feedback.
This track should be available for sale in the next month or so. In the meantime,

Here’s what some of the top DJ’s have to say:

The Famous Neve 8078 Mixing Console
I know that I’ve been rattling and rattling on for some time about this new single of mine entitled “All Around Us,” but at long last, I can happily say that this puppy is “out the door in a paper bag” and ready to rock dancefloors

For those of you who have noticed me rattling on since this past April about a tune I’m working on by the name of “All Around Us,” you may be asking yourself, “what type of a whack-job spends 7 months on the same song and is STILL working on it?! Who does this guy think he
is -
Brian Wilson?!?

To be more precise, it’s actually a song I wrote with my
Monkey Bars partner in crime, Gabriel D Vine as well as Alex Lang, and was the reason we were offered a deal with
Subliminal Records in 2001.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve done some research and put together a
discography of all the recordings I’ve appeared on either as a producer or as a sideman. Noticeably missing from the list at the time of this posting are any recordings made under the name “Bloompocket,” but of course,
that will be changing soon (you’ll be the first to know!).

Howdy kiddos. So I just wanted to officially announce that as of the weekend before this past weekend, I recorded the bass for Bloompocket track #2 in progress entitled “All Around Us.” (I like to keep things “up to the minute” for my readers).

Daryl Darden and I after a hard but utterly gratifying day’s work
Again, a bit late in posting, but I thought I’d share that last weekend I got to record the vocals and guitar for my latest track entitled “All Around Us.” My original plan was to do it all at home on my little
notebook studio, but after a shaky trial recording the weekend prior, I realized that this song is much too important to cut corners on.

I realize that I’m a few days behind the curve in posting this, but just wanted to alert you all to the fact that my new track “I’ll Show You” has been featured in
Anji Bee’s “Chillcast.” Anji is the vocalist for the soft pop/folk/smooth electronica group,
Lovespirals. I’ve been recording and performing live on sax with this group on and off now for the past 9 or more years, so it’s so nice that our paths can connect in yet one more way through the magic of World Wide Online Internets.

So yes, my second track as “Bloompocket” is well under way. Of course, if it were up to me, I’d be on my 12th track. You see, despite the power and prestige that come with uploading one track onto a
MySpace Music profile, I still have this thing called the “day job” which definitely changes up the spare-time-to-noodle-in-the-studio factor. However, the upside is that because there is a limit to my time, the time spent composing and producing is incredibly inspired and focused.

While I’m still getting around to putting a proper bio up here somewhere, in the meantime, I don’t think I can really introduce myself to you guys without mentioning the whole sax/jazz music dimension.
Despite my
excessive and extravagant production studio, you’ll be shocked to learn that music production was actually not my entry point into the world of music.
