Whew! A month and a half ’s absence from my beloved little bloggie here, but there’s been a lot of change for the absolutely positive in my life going on lately, so the blog fell by the wayside for a moment.

So this is actually old news, but I did want to let everyone know that my first track as Bloompocket, called “I’ll Show You” has been signed to a great label out of Milan called Gotta Keep Faith Records! The track is slated to come out some time before 2009 with some remixes to boot. Not sure who’s going to be doing the remixes, but I’m sure that it’ll all be great. (more…)

So 2 weekends back I had a very inspiring experience that I wanted to share with everyone. As some of you may or may not know, I was a high school jazz band geek, spending every weeknight practicing sax, often spending my weekend nights doing the same, or better yet, jamming with fellow high school jazz band geeks (such as Gabriel D Vine, with whom I formed Monkey Bars). Besides being in the band, I competed in tons of different music competitions, including one called the Music Center Spotlight Awards. It’s a pretty prestigious competition and I actually ended up winning the jazz instrumental category my senior year back in 1993. (more…)


So yes, my second track as “Bloompocket” is well under way. Of course, if it were up to me, I’d be on my 12th track. You see, despite the power and prestige that come with uploading one track onto a MySpace Music profile, I still have this thing called the “day job” which definitely changes up the spare-time-to-noodle-in-the-studio factor. However, the upside is that because there is a limit to my time, the time spent composing and producing is incredibly inspired and focused. (more…)
